The Comnet CNGE11FX3TX8MS is an industrially hardened managed Ethernet switch featuring three 100/1000BASE-FX SFP* ports and eight 10/100/1000BASE-TX ports. Two of the SFP ports support 2.5 Gbps SFPs, enabling high-speed communication for bandwidth-intensive applications. All SFP ports utilize Comnet SFP modules to accommodate fiber type, connector, and distance requirements. This switch supports multiple Ethernet redundancy protocols, ensuring reliable performance by protecting critical applications from network interruptions or temporary malfunctions. Exclusive to Comnet, the Port Guardian feature enhances cybersecurity by enabling physical port lockout if an active cable is disconnected, preventing potential intrusions through spoofing techniques. Intrusion events are reported to operators via SNMP for proactive management. Advanced IP-based management capabilities allow users to limit maximum bandwidth for each connected device, optimizing network usage. The CNGE11FX3TX8MSPOE models provide eight electrical ports with up to 30 watts of IEEE 802.3at PoE per port, while the CNGE11FX3TX8MSPOEHO model supports up to 60 watts on four of the eight PoE ports for high-powered devices.
