The Comnet CNGE11FX3TX8MS is an industrially hardened managed Ethernet switch featuring three 100/1000BASE-FX SFP* ports and eight 10/100/1000BASE-TX ports. Two of the SFP ports support 2.5 Gbps SFPs, delivering high-speed communication for bandwidth-intensive applications. All SFP ports utilize Comnet SFP modules, allowing flexibility in fiber type, connector style, and transmission distance. To ensure network resilience, the switch supports multiple Ethernet redundancy protocols, protecting critical applications from interruptions or temporary malfunctions by automatically redirecting traffic within the network. Exclusive to Comnet, the Port Guardian feature enhances cybersecurity by enabling physical port lockout if a connected cable is removed, preventing potential intrusions through spoofing techniques. Intrusion events are reported to operators via SNMP for rapid response. The CNGE11FX3TX8MSPOE models include eight IEEE 802.3at-compliant PoE ports, each delivering up to 30 watts of power. For applications requiring higher power, the CNGE11FX3TX8MSPOEHO model supports up to 60 watts on four of the eight PoE ports, making it ideal for powering devices such as PTZ cameras and wireless access points.
